Mrs. Mariam Bibi was direct beneficiary of the Project “Small-scale income generation for marginalized rural 50 women through livestock-rising”. We are very much pleased to share her success story. Mariam Bibi; was poor lady have 6 children of aged 1 year to 12 years old. She is faithful wife and hardworking mother; always longing to provide financial support to her family for the better future of her children. Her husband is Gardner in the high school, there he cuts grass at ground and trims the trees. Which could be used for the fodder for the goats but they were unable to buy the goats which could become the source of nutrition and income for the family.
When Mariam herd about the project; goat raising she requested the field worker of Remedy Welfare & Development Organization to get the information about the project. Mariam became the group member and got two goats for the income generation after six months, goats gave birth to 5 kids. The extra milk of goats is used for the nutrition of her children. She planed that male goats will be sold for the education of children. Mariam is very much satisfied that she is helping her husband to feed the family, her husband and children are also happy and thankful to 1% United Nation staff and Remedy Welfare and Development Organization for providing them chance to lead better life.
Mrs. Shamshad Rafiq is the beneficiary of the Project “Small-scale income generation for marginalized rural 50 women through livestock-rising”. We are sharing her success story. Shamshad is very gentle lady mother of 6 children of aged 2 to 13 years old. Her husband Mr. Rafiq is poor man work as agriculture laborer, he works from early in the morning till late evening. Shamshad also help her husband in the fields, even then they hardly able to feed their family and unable afford the education expenses of his children. Shamshad has immense desire to send her children to get formal and non-formal education. Due to the poverty they were unable to provide their children balanced diet.
Majority of the people living in the target area depends on livestock rising, Shamshad desired if they could have the goats, then they could provide balanced diet to their children and send their children school to get education.
Shamshad became the group member and got two goats for the income generation. Shamshad was lucky one of the goat given to her was already pregnant after 4 months her goat give birth to 2 kids and other goat gave birth to 2 kids within the six month period. Shamshad and her family are very happy her children drink milk and children start going to school to get education. Shamshad, her husband are very much satisfied and thankful to 1% United Nation staff and Remedy Welfare and Development Organization for providing them goats which become the source of prosperity in the family.
