Bangladesh:
Love Thy Neighbor, Women’s Cow-Rearing

Fifteen women living in the villages of Char Madras Union, Bhola District, Bangladesh were each given a cow and cow shed, plus training in how to rear, care for and milk their cows. The women were able to sell the milk to those in their community (in a region plagued by malnutrition) and with their earnings, help support their families. They were also able to share the knowledge gained in cow-rearing with other families.
