Rice Huller and Thresher

       

Purchase of a rice huller and thresher to serve more than 100 women farmers in the Atani community in Anambra state in Nigeria. The equipment will dramatically increase the amount of rice that can be processed by and for the community and for sale. Previously, hand-processing rice was laborious and slow. This increase in productivity will bring work and income, as well as increase the availability of nutritious food to the area. Members of the community, in cooperation with a government initiative, provided training and facilitated cooperation to operate and maintain the equipment.
