Zimbabwe:
fish farming
Year of Funding: 2017
Zimconserve, a non-profit organization specializing in ecological design for farms in Zimbabwe assisted St. Aidan’s primary school to implement a fish farming project. It built a fish pond (30×20 meters) and the students and teachers participated in project activities such as excavation, dam liner installation, filling the pond with water and feeding the fish, getting fish farming skills to replicate at home. The school will get income from selling fingerlings and fish as well as from conducting fish farming workshops to pay for orphans who cannot afford the school.
