Sierra Leone:
Support to small-scale rural women farmers

        

The goal of the project was to enable 30 women beneficiaries to harvest crops, such as rice, cassava and vegetables, on an 8-acre plot of land. Following workshops on farm production and management, the women tilled the land and planted the crops, with the aim to use them for their own consumption and sell them as a source of income. Funding from the 1% Fund was used to purchase farm tools, building materials, planting equipment and seeds.
